Touchnote Postcards Review

When I was a kid I used to love sending postcards from whichever seaside town we visited on our family holidays. My mum used to encourage it and, as the years went by, I still did it well into my early twenties but then it seemed to have stopped – especially since the dawn of the mobile phone due to texts and Instagram. Despite that, Ross and I encouraged Grace to send a couple of postcards whilst we were on holiday in Ireland back in May and my mum was thrilled to receive hers. Now, Touchnote have come up with a clever idea to combine the old with the new and you now have the ability to send postcards from your iPhone whilst you are abroad.

Touchnote Postcards

I have already reviewed the Print Box from Touchnote so, when we took a trip to Alicante in Spain last week, they also gave me the chance to test out the postcard by sending one to both Grace and (this may sound odd to you) our cat Gypsy! And I can’t believe how easy it was.

Firstly, you can use any photograph taken via your phone. Simply open the app and click on ‘Send Postcard’

Next you select the photograph. First you have the option to choose a layout by using up to six photos. There are 7 preloaded images or you can choose photographs of your own taken on your phone. The app then gives you the option to edit the image with zoom, move and rotate selections as well as giving you the option choose a caption for the front of the postcard.

Finally, the card is flipped over and you can type your message to the person you are sending it to as well as adding the address of the recipient.

The app gives you the ability to type in up to 50 addresses and store them.

Once you are ready, you can then click send and Touchnote do all the rest for you. Postage is included in your credit so you don’t even need to find a stamp or a post box! All from the comfort of your sunbed.Plus, delivery takes place within a matter of days.

My Thoughts

I have to say that I love the way that Touchnote has harnessed modern technology for something so traditional in relation to holidays. I think it is a great idea and I intend to use it on a far more regular basis.
